Unlike other cancers, pancreatic cancer starts on the ducts which carry the secretions of the pancreas. This is also called pancreatic carcinoma. When it reaches the lymph nodes, it spreads to even other nearby organs like lungs and liver. When the cancer spreads to the cells of glucagons and insulin, it is called islet cell tumor since the alpha and beta cells of the islets of langerhans are affected. Pancreatic cancer is less common in Asians than in Americans. Cigarette smokers are at a higher risk than the nonsmokers. Also there is an elevated risk of pancreas cancer if the person suffers from chronic pancreatitis. The symptoms are not often shown at early stages, it is found at the advanced stage only. The most common symptoms are severe pain in the abdomen, vomiting, nausea, loss of appetite and weight loss. Jaundice also occurs when the patient suffers from pancreatic cancer. Since it doesn’t show any early signs, it is known as silent disease. Initially it can be diagnosed by physical exam, where the eyes and skin are checked for jaundice. It can also be diagnosed through other lab tests which checks for the level of bilirubin and even other substances. CT scan is also used for diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Early signs of Breast Cancer
The precise cause for the breast cancer is not known. But still there are certain risk factors, which actually increase the chance of occurrence of the breast cancer in some females. There are many risk factors such as family history, age, gene changes, and changes in the breast, reproductive history, intake of alcohol and diethylstilbestrol, obesity, radiations, race, density of the breast etc. When the age of the women crosses 60 there are increased chances of getting breast cancer. But now women, as they pass their menopause or even before, are much prone to breast cancer, so it is highly essential to go in for a mammogram. When any relative of the women has a history of cancer, then she is at the risk of getting cancer. For some females the cells of the breast are abnormal, thus increasing the risk of cancer. Another important cause of breast cancer is the change in the genes, which can be detected earlier to prevent the occurrence of the cancer. It has been found that those females who reach their puberty before the age of 12 are at a higher risk of breast cancer. Intake of alcohol also increases the risk of getting cancer.
